Patrick Sanguineti, A.B. ’17, makes his return to the Harvard music scene after a fruitful year at the University of Cambridge, where he successfully undertook his MPhil in Classics, and where he performed with the university’s top orchestral ensembles, including the King’s College Music Society, Trinity College Music Society, and Cambridge University Orchestra, with whom he toured to Tuscany in the summer of 2018. While at Harvard College, he had the privilege of serving as President of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra in 2016, as well as playing principal trumpet for the group, including for their 2017 tour to Argentina. Patrick also performed with Grammy-winning band Weezer as part of an unplugged set at Brighton Music Hall in the fall of 2016. He has also had the distinct pleasure of performing as a soloist domestically and internationally, including in venues around Japan and in the Korean DMZ, as part of the 2017 Lindenbaum Music Festival, which aims to foster dialogue between the two Koreas through musical diplomacy. Currently, while making preparations to continue onto life’s next stage, Patrick spends time playing in the Boston area with groups such as the Apollo Ensemble, Symphony Pro Musica, Du Boise Orchestra, and the Mystic Brass Ensemble, among others. He is very excited for the chance to rejoin the Harvard College Opera this year.
