Isabella Meyer
Isabella Meyer is a senior at the college studying Music and English, and she is thrilled to be serving as HCO’s President for the 23-24 season after three years spent with the organization. As President, Isabella hopes to restore institutional knowledge that has been jeopardized as a result of the 1.5 years of asynchronous learning and singing, and to revive the vibrant social community which HCO aims to provide for all opera-loving students. She also desires to enrich the regular seasonal programming by strengthening organizational support for recitals and masterclasses, and is interested in additional opportunities for individualized student coaching through increased frequency of guest artist visits.
Before coming to Harvard, Isabella trained and performed with the Seattle Opera company, and competed in classical singing at regional, state, and national levels. She was a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum for two years, and she now enjoys singing and performing daily at Memorial Church, as a Ferris Choral Fellow of the University Choir. She has been featured in several Harvard College Opera recitals and mainstage productions, and her fondest collection of HCO memories is from having played Marcellina in HCO’s 2022 production of Le nozze di Figaro. She was most recently seen playing Praskowia in HCO’s 2023 production of The Merry Widow, and she plans on pursuing a career in the arts.
