ELBA ALONSO-MONSALVE

Elba Alonso-Monsalve is a student at the college of the Class of 2019, concentrating in Physics and Mathematics. She comes from Madrid (Spain), where she finished her elementary degree in piano and music theory in the Conservatory Manuel de Falla, and started her professional degree shortly before coming to Harvard. Elba sang in the vocal group Antara Korai while she lived in Madrid, winning various national and international competitions and singing in venues such as the National Auditorium of Music of Spain.

She has been an active member of the Harvard University Choir since her first year here, as well as a Choral Fellow since her sophomore year. She studies voice with Frank Kelley. Elba collaborates regularly with HCO in vocal recitals and was part of the ensemble of Le Nozze di Figaro (2017). She is very excited to be a part of Die Fledermaus (2018) as well.
