Allison Pao

Allison Pao ’21 grew up in New York City, moved to Nashville, TN, and spent the last three years in Basel, Switzerland. In Switzerland, she played with the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra under the direction of conductors Daniel Harding and Joshua Weilerstein, won 1st prize with distinction at the 2016 Schweizer Jugend Musikwettbewerb (Swiss Youth Music Competition), and performed in three national concert tours with the Schweizer Jugend Sinfonieorchester (Swiss Youth Orchestra). At Harvard, she's a sophomore living in Leverett, and she is pursuing a concentration in social anthropology with a secondary in educational studies. She spends (almost all) her free time at WHRB (Harvard Radio Broadcasting). She loves teaching, stories, coffee, chai, boba, and bananas.
